A Little Bit of Sanity and A Lot of Chaos: Cake stand and a cloche

Cake stand and a cloche

I have always wanted a cake stand. Once, I had one with a rooster on it. It wasn't as cute as I thought it was.
I don't even know what a cloche is. All I know is you put stuff under it. Fake fruit, cakes, and tiny little trinkets that you don't want three terrors to touch. (How's that for alliteration?!)

Anyway, I want both. For no reason, but because I do. I mean, it won't be the end of the world if I don't get them, but come on. I may stop breathing if I don't. Although....we don't have trinkets. We don't have fake fruit, unless you count the stuff the boys play grocery store, cooking and McDonald's drive through with. And, the only time I make cake is at birthdays. But I found a little cloche at Goodwill. I'm pretty sure it's for cheese or something.....

Then, at Target they have clear glass cake stands, but not white ones. I want a white one. I've looked all over for a cool one, but haven't seen them. Okay, not really, but who can go shopping right now for themselves?
So, I made one.
White square plate. Tiny white bowl that really is only big enough for a few m&m's.

Use Gorilla Glue Epoxy to attach the bowl to the underside of the plate. Let sit overnight.....chirp, chirp, hoot hoot. (That's the owl that wakes me up at 3 A.M. Seriously.)

There you have it. A cake stand AND a cloche.

Yummy. Ooohh, foreshadowing....wait until you see what that table used to look like!

How clever -- love the square cake stand. I think you'll use it a lot - for I would think it would be really handy to have. Love the oranges in the cloche!

So cute- when I saw it I immediately thought of Rick Jame's Super Freak song, but I substitued the following lyrics: "She's super crafty, ow!"
