A Little Bit of Sanity and A Lot of Chaos: Summer is coming!

Summer is coming!

We've been busy around here playing in the sand, hiking the trails and getting our hands dirty in the mud. We're all very excited for summer around here.

The boys received their summer haircuts on Sunday. Freshly shaved heads. So cute.

The yard is starting to get cleaned up, flowers are being planted and gardens are being planned. Patios are being drawn out and weeds are being pulled. I adore this time of year.

I stopped and noticed the front tree this weekend, my favorite tree. It doesn't bloom for very long, and because it is so windy on top of our hill, the flower petals fall off quickly.

I had to cut a branch off of this favorite tree of mine and get rid of some nasty worms that were taking over....

This is what my SIL told me to do. Cut the branch and put it in a bucket of soapy water. That's the only way to get rid of them. I wonder how long this bucket full of dead worms will stay in our garage before I get grossed out and finally throw it away...

Here's what the tree looked like this past weekend. Gorgeous. It's the only pink I have in a sea of blue inside.

Ahhh, I heart summer.

Beautiful tree! Is that a crabtree? I love the pink flowers on certain varieties.

I love when little boys get their heads shaved. My big boy (hubby) got his shaved. Those flowers are so pretty. Thanks so much for stopping by. I do love summer, but hate the humidity.

I cut branches of my crab tree and put it in a vase-I heart summer too-I think those of us in the Northern States are so thankful for the warm weather!
