A Little Bit of Sanity and A Lot of Chaos: Painted the kitchen.

Painted the kitchen.

I've been wanting to lighten up our house a bunch. Everything is changing around here! All the time. P constantly says, "Mommy, you changed that again!?"

So, I painted the kitchen/dining room. I wanted to go a light gray. I love gray. I 'm having a hard time finding the perfect gray, but I'm loving this color a lot. It's Behr "Porpoise". Sometimes it looks gray, sometimes a little blue. It's fantastic.

Here's the kitchen before. I don't know what color it is, it's what the previous owners had. It's kind of a tan/green.

These pictures were taken this morning. Nothing is staged, nothing is perfect. Not going to apologize for it either!

I really like it. It brightens up the rooms so much! Now, onto the foyer and upstairs hallway.

That's a golden mustard yellowish color. Okay, but not for me. I found a gallon of antique white at HD for five bucks! Can't wait to get started. And I need to figure out how I am going to tackle the two story foyer. Ummm.....help.

I love the color! And when you figure out the foyer you let me know! I have to tackle the walls going up the stairs. Not going to be easy!

Nicely done! I like that color. We just had our bathroom painted in a very light gray called Teardrop. I love it! Goodbye Beige and hello grays!!

Good luck on foyer. We just painted our two story foyer a month ago....it involved the tallest painting ladder we could find, one of those square trim roller pads on a stick and alot of stretching by my husband....honestly, it was more intimidating to do, but when we actually did it, it wasn't so bad. Good thing is, no one can really see up there if it isn't perfect! Goodluck!

The color is wonderful. I have a similar color in my main rooms. It does make me happy too. You may have people commenting on it when they stop over. That's what has happened to us!

Good luck with the high spots!

That color does look better and brightens up the whole room. Thanks for stopping by.
