A Little Bit of Sanity and A Lot of Chaos: Holy Red Batman.

Holy Red Batman.

I can't hold off any longer. I am dying to show you this buffet. D-I-Y-ing (get it?! DIY...do it yourself....nevermind....)

Here's the humdrum before. Cute enough for an old lady living in a shoe.....

It was in fantastic shape. The small drawer is even lined in velvet for silver!

Here's a peek at part of it:

And now, meet Lisa. (She is named after the most wonderful Massage Therapist I have ever had, plus she's going in my Chiropractor's office where Lisa works....)

She is bold and brave and beautiful. I am in LOVE. Double heart with puffy paint LOVE.

Seriously, look at the inside! My favorite lagoon color on the inside! LOVE....

Outside is Rustoleum Colonial Red in Satin. Inside Rustoleum Lagoon in Semi-gloss. Love it. Don't want to give it up. I can hardly stand it. It makes me giddy! Just plain giddy!

I can see why it would be difficult to let her go ... she's beautiful!! May I ask ... did you sand and prime? And, what grit sandpaper did you use to age it? I'm about to tackle a bookcase ... and, needless to say, am a bit "skeered". Thanks for sharing, *Becca*

O.M.G. that is gorgeous! My favorite red ever is Rustoleum Colonial Red. Ever. Is Lagoon a spray or brush paint? Now I'm dying to try that color too. Love the buffet..great job!

You jump off of the paint bridge and always land in a sea of gorgeous hues! OH. WOW.

I would NEVER have 'jumped' that way! And I'm thinking that maybe the old lady who lived in a shoe may actually have liked this piece!!!

Interesting piece for a massage therapist's office....funky rubs!

Sorry to bombard you with questions....but is it spray paint on both the inside and out? Did you prime? Anything after the paint?
