A fun little bookshelf transformation

I found this bookshelf at my local thrift store that I love to hate.

It was missing shelves and was an interesting color.

But I still loved it. Who doesn't love a cute little bookshelf?!

Amazingly we had a piece of pine (the remainder of Tom's bat house dream) that fit the depth of the bookshelf perfectly, all I had to do was cut it in half. Uh-huh.

Did you know that boards aren't perfect?! And, did you also know that nothing is perfectly square?! It's true.

But, I finally got the boards to fit with a little screaming at it and hammering, and a few gentle words...

And painted it blue to match the room of a beautiful little gal.

Here it is in her room!

Perfect! Love it.

  2. The blue looks different in her room, more turquoise! But I love it both times!
