Waiting for me in the garage....

I just have to show you what is waiting for me in the garage....

Our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore had furniture half off this week. If you haven't heard of ReStore, just type it into your search engine to find one. It is fantastic. People and businesses donate their building items they don't want and they sell them to us, then all proceeds go to building homes. Can't go wrong with buying from there and helping out the community!

I saw these a few days ago and they were over my self imposed limit so I didn't get any of them, but the woman at the counter told me to call on Tuesday and find out what was fifty percent off this week, and guess what?! Furniture was, so I got my tush over there and picked these three things up. I CAN'T wait to get started...if only it wasn't so darn humid.

$20.
$25.

$23.

That last picture is horrible, but to be honest, it's 97 degrees here with a million percent humidity and about to storm and I just finished vacuuming out the van that had spoiled milk in it and I was sweaty and stinky and the kids were crying for food, so I was in no mood to shift the dresser ninety degrees to get a forward facing picture. Deal.

The next thing has been sitting in our basement for awhile. It's Tom's grandmothers table and chairs. Tom didn't want me touching it, but since someone put all the currently deceased cat's stuff on it a month ago (not me, maybe a certain father) Tom doesn't really care about it and told me I could paint it. I'm envisioning white legs and an ebony top. Then distressing everything.

Now. That's what's in the works...Can't wait to show you some finished projects. As soon as I stop sweating.

  3. They even look gorgeous as is! What finds and fantastic projects you have to fill your "slow" moments. Today on a furniture drop off one of my sons got sick in the car. Naptime chores for me.
