Weekend randoms

1. We have so many projects going on right now and so many in my head. I need to write them all down. So I'm going to. Somewhere. My head is a mess. I do have them written down somewhere...actually, everywhere. The chalkboard. Little pieces of paper. Big pieces of paper. In the car. On my desk. Daily reminders of all the things we want to do around here.

2. Now the boys have colds. Nasty cough with a cold. It's fun. AND, Gus is still sick. I ended up taking him back to the doctor and getting more fluids and sugar on Friday. We were there for 4 hours. All three boys and me. Thankfully the boys were fantastic. And I'm not going to lie. I treated them to a surprise lunch and race car after. I know. I'm THAT mom. Don't care. You do what you have to...Right?! We've been slowly reintroducing formula and he's doing a lot better. What a nightmare!

3. We are obsessed with Knock Off Wood. I actually do mean we. Tom loves Google SketchUp and because our hallway currently looks like this

Umm...yeah. That's our hallway. We had a bookshelf there but it was small and someone may have broken it when they were trying to move it. It really doesn't matter who did it...it just happened. And so we needed a new one. We took the plans from Ana's site and modified it a little to fit our needs.
And, since we were having to buy two sheets of MDF for the project because we needed just a little more for the bookshelf Tom asked what else we could make out of it - so I'm getting a hutch too! Seriously. SO MANY PROJECTS!

4. One stair tread had to be replaced. Tomorrow I am tackling the painting of the riser. I can't wait.

That's all I've got. Over and out.

  3. Awe, poor babies! I think everyone is sick, recently. I give my girls echinacea, and it really helps to keep them from getting sick. Any Mom with little ones should try it! I swear by it!

And don't get discouraged with the projects! You'll get them all done, soon enough. Then, you'll have room for even MORE projects! :)

  4. Hi there -- I think I lost you for a while. I hadn't seen any posts for a bit, so I checked and I had you on my reader, but not as a follower. Anyway, I've signed up again, so I'll be able to see what you're up to. I don't know what knock off wood is, so I'll have to research that, and I also hope that your boys are all feeling better very soon. I know how hard it is to have sick children.
    Hugs!
