A Little Bit of Sanity and A Lot of Chaos

Tidbits of the week.

I'm here. Honestly. I'm in the midst of moving everything over to Wordpress and I tore my eyeballs out of their sockets yesterday...

Then put them back in to watch the kids run on the Slip n' Slide because it is 100 degrees and about the same humidity.

Also, my psycho neighbors all got together on Saturday morning at the crack of dawn and ran some stairs and did some sprints. Then we turned around the next day and ran 8 miles. I swear. These neighbors are trying to kill me. I couldn't walk for two days.

I've been painting a little, but we've been having a lot of fun going to the beach and hanging out, so I haven't been searching too much for stuff, but that will pick up as soon as both Jack and Porter are in summer school. Plus, I've got a sitter coming one day a week, so I can do some stuff for myself!

We do have big news in our house. If you have been reading for awhile you'll remember that Porter (our 5 year old) has terrible stage fright. HORRIBLE. Well, his 4K program was last Friday and I did what every normal parent would do. I bribed him with ice cream. I'm not above a little incentive...

That's him in the red and gray. He stayed the ENTIRE time. NO tears. He even participated...a little.

Do you know who cried like a baby? Me. I was so proud. SO proud I could hardly stand it.

There he is getting his 4K diploma. His teachers were so impressed with him. Love it. What a great kid.

You think I would end without a little more eye candy???

Oh, wait, this isn't beautiful....yet. I picked it up on the side of the road. The drawers are shot. But I just couldn't get rid of it. I have a BRILLIANT idea. Can't wait to show you.

Now this. THIS is some eye candy. I used Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue. I even have a more detailed post, but you'll have to wait until next time.

Stay tuned!

Mom Ramblings #32

1. I'm moving. To Wordpress. We're working on it right now. Please come with me. You shouldn't have to do much to come with. Just don't go!

2. I'm thinking about doing this to our backsplash. I would really love to do old tin tiles, but I don't think that is going to happen. Unless I find a thousand smackers under my fridge, or in my oven. This is a sheet from Home Depot. And should only cost me about a hundred and fifty smackers to do our backsplash. Anyone done it? I think it is going to look cool. Hubs is in, as long as he doesn't have to do any work. Deal. Of course I'll show you when it's done.

3. The kids are on a reptile kick. They found a tree frog the other day and carried it around all day long. The darn thing even jumped across my kitchen floor. Porter traded it to the neighbor for a Zooble. Then she let it go. Who won that round?

4. Now they are trying to convince us to get a pet snake. Ha! Have I ever mentioned that Tom HATES snakes?

5. Porter got beat up by a table at school and he came home and his face was swollen and black and blue. The school never called me. I'm a little upset. And when I say swollen, it looks like he shoved two oranges in his cheeks.

6. My middle sister is PG. That's right, I'm spilling the beans. We FaceTimed her with our iPhones (LOVE technology) and we got to see her little belly. I cried. It's just such an amazing thing. They are going to make fantastic parents. Even if their baby has to sleep in the bathtub in their 600 square foot Brooklyn apartment....they should move home.

7. My Bridesmaid dress arrived for my youngest sister's wedding this summer. It's a convertible dress. Which does not mean that the top can come down with the push of a button. It means we can wear it a bunch of different ways. I think I'll try them all out, take a photo of each one, and then you can all decide which way I should wear it. That would be fun, right?! What do you think Lou?

8. My cheek/eye is still twitching.

9. The White Butterfly Furniture site is officially off blogger! We are now at www.whitebutterflyfurniture.com. You should have no problem following it and subscribing and RSS feeding over there to see all the furniture. If you so choose, of course. If you have problems, let me know. I'll try and help you out.

Mom Ramblings #31

1. I have a twitch in my upper right cheek, right under my eye. It won't go away. I want to scream. It's been there since Wednesday. Please stop twitching.

2. We went to the cabin this weekend and it's tick season and Northern Watersnake mating season. Hello. We saw snakes doin' it. Did you know they give birth to live babies in the fall....and then ditch them. "I mated. I carried you for a few months. I birthed you. Now go away." Oh, and, the females are way bigger then the males. Weird.

3. I'm low on furniture. I need a supplier. Fast.

4. Would anyone come to a furniture boutique if I had one at my house. One weekend. Tons of furniture and yummy things to eat....?

5. There's a huge storm outside and I love it.

6. We just had deer in our yard.

7. I have 5 loads of laundry to fold.

8. My eye is still twitching.

9. We pulled 97 ticks off the kids and dogs.

10. I read an article in Good Housekeeping about not screaming at your kids. It was a nice little reminder. I remembered that article before we bathed the kids tonight. Good thing, because I wanted to yell at them.

11. I'm hungry.

12. We bought a tent. And our first camp out with this tent will probably be in the backyard. It may be our last.

13. The lights keep flickering.

14. I found a guy that is getting rid of a bunch of old wood. Anyone need a table? Or a coffee table? Or a side table?

15. I'm thinking about selling this....

I'm not 100 percent sure though. I love it so much. But there will always be more, right?

16. The thrift stores better have something for me tomorrow.

17. I picked up a dresser off the side of the road on Friday. I'll show it to you. It's in a sad, sorry state, but, it was free, so if I can't fix it, oh well.

18. Happy Tuesday!

Mom Ramblings

1. Our anniversary was on Wednesday. I got Tom and iphone. He brought me sushi and flowers. Couldn't have been better!

2. We are designing our deck/patio today and spreading 3 yards of dirt and 10 yards of mulch and laying a small section of sod. I did a ton of it yesterday and I am plum tired. And my poor 'thrown from a horse degenerative disc back' hurts.

3. Did I tell you we went out on a Thursday night?! We did. We went to an auction and dinner for a fantastic group of artists! You need to check this out. They are absolutely amazing. Donna Lexa Art Center. There was a silent auction (which to me, are so stressful - will I be the last name on the list? Did I bid enough? Kills me.) and a live auction. It was my first live auction and I was so nervous! I bid on a few things, and we donated some money, but they were getting too rich for us! But it sure was fun! Can't wait to do a furniture auction.

4. I mowed the lawn yesterday with Gus in the Kelty on my back. He fell asleep the lazy bum.

5. I got this really cool mirror the other day and I can't wait to use my new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint on it. I can't show you though, because well, I don't want to complain about Blogger, but I can't upload any photos. So really I'm just teasing you with this info.

6. Since I can't upload photos, I can't show you the amazing before and afters that have been happening in my workshop (ha! garage....)

7. Off to move mulch. The key to good mulch laying is a steel pronged rake. Just thought you would want to know.

8. MG....this is for you. I can't send you an email back because you have your email set to 'no-reply blogger', so I have no way of responding. If you could change that, or if you could send me an email, that would be great! Then we can talk about that barn wood you found!

Ta-Ta for now.

Mom Ramblings #Idon'tknowanymore

1. When you click on the lovely header above it takes you to Photobucket, and I don't know how to fix it. It didn't used to do that. Now I'm angry.

2. I had a great Mother's Day! I got to sleep in, got breakfast in bed, got to go on a run with my friend and still had time to hang out and play with the boys. I even got some great handmade pictures and a pin made out of a puzzle piece...with puffy paint and beads...it is gorgeous and I've worn it every day.

3. I've picked up some great pieces over the last few days. I think I need a bigger garage.

4. Speaking of our garage. We cleaned it out and are getting organized. I even saved up for a new work bench and some shelving! When it's done I'll show you.

5. I'm selling my turquoise coffee table....

6. Does anyone else want a french door refrigerator with a pull out freezer drawer on the bottom? I do. Shh...don't tell my husband but I listed our current fridge on CL and if it sells, maybe I'll have to get a new one...

7. I've been searching for a leaning mirror. I finally found one and a couple of other goodies. I'll have to show you.

8. I finally ordered my first couple of cans of Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint. Not chalk paint, as in you can write on it with chalk, but a different kind of paint. Apparently you can paint over anything no sanding or primer needed and it even has magical powers with pixie dust and gold flakes. Like J.Lo's face cream.....I'll tell you what I think after it gets here.

9. Speaking of faces....I had two moles removed from my face and have four more to go over the next few months. I'm doing it because I'm terrified of skin cancer, but I have a feeling it's going to be a huge change to my face. Maybe I'll do a before and after post.....hmmm...

10. I took off my blogger rankings. It feels good. I realized I could care less what the ranking is. I love blogging and connecting with other bloggers, so who cares what my rank is.

11. Is anyone else watching Friday Night Lights? I heart that show. If you aren't watching it you need to be. Best. Show. Ever. EVER.

12. I've been dreaming of a farm house and a barn and three to five acres of land with 7 chickens....and maybe a goat.

13. I'm switching over to Wordpress. Will you come with me? It will happen in the next month. Please come with. I'll make sure you do.

14. I just read the book 'Two Kisses for Maddy' by Matt Logelin. Bawled my eyes out. But well worth it. Seriously though, if you need a good cry, read it. Then go and hug your spouse. Or your dog. Or your kid. Or all of them.

15. One of my favorite things to do is color.

Happy Tuesday!

Mom Ramblings #28

1. I've been getting up in the morning and running. It's just easier on my day....although harder on my sleep schedule!

2. I've been watching movies on my iPhone while running. I will tell you which ones you should watch. If you want my opinion at all read on....

Country Strong - great movie. Loved it. I thought G.P. was great. And Tim McGraw, well, he's dreamy. And so was the other singer, his name was Beau in the movie.

Morning Glory. Fun movie. Entertaining.

How Do You Know - with Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd - TERRIBLE. Seriously. I was so disappointed. There was absolutely no story. And with such a great cast it should have been better.

The Switch - I thought it was cute. Kind of fun. But, I like like those kinds of movies.

The Social Network - Good. That's all I'm going to say, because I have some other opinions, and I'm sensitive to people's feelings.....hmmmm...

Love and Other Drugs - Loved. Loved. Loved. This was a great movie.

That's it. For what it's worth!

3. More crap you probably don't need to know - my foot hurts. And it makes me feel old.

4. I still have baby fever.

5. The neighbors gave us their swing set. Now I don't have to put money in an envelope to save for a swing set, so I changed that envelope to a water softener. That's right. Saving for a swing set came before a water softener. Priorities people!

6. My craft closet is only slightly messier than my living room right now. I have 4 loads of unfolded laundry that needs to be folded. One of the loads sat in the washing machine for a full day, and it really needed to be rewashed but I decided to try and dry it anyway, it didn't work, and it smells musty, so now I have 4 loads of clean laundry and 1 of those needs to be rewashed....crap.

7. It's 9:00 and I've had 2 Diet Cokes. Judge all you want. I don't care.

8. Anyone know where I can get a jute/fake jute runner for under $50?

9. Yesterday was 72. Today I'm wearing a wool sweater. Yuck.

10. Anyone want to come and put a swing set together?

11. I haven't even thought about Easter candy and egg hunts.

12. We can park in our garage. That's big. Did you see the post the other day about not being able to see our garage floor?

13. My fingernails still have stain on them from a piece I did yesterday. May be one of my most favorite pieces I've done. I'll show you tomorrow.

14. Happy Thirsty Thursday. Nickle taps at the DownUnder, a bar in the town where I went to college. I didn't go once....

Mom Ramblings #27

1. This is my little sister. We call her Lou. Her real name isn't Louise. This is her new fiance. They have been together for as long as I can remember and they are gettin' hitched this summer at a lake resort (how cool is that!). They complete our little family. And we are thrilled. (That's my Dad's house, by the way. Photo courtesy him, and one of his three Nikon cameras.)

2. I was going to participate in What I Wore Wednesday this week over at The Pleated Poppy. BUT,  this is the only photo I've taken all week long. This was last Wednesday. So it goes. One photo. The rest of the week I was in painting clothes and my red carhart jacket. So be it.

3. This is Gus. That's it. Oh, and that's my nose. Geez.

4. This is the hubs and me working on a piece. This was a combined effort as part of the dresser was warped and we had to replace the piece and put it back together. He helped a ton! So my Dad, who is here visiting for the week, took a picture of us by it. Don't we look cute in our coordinating Carhart jackets?! (Carhart should pay us....just a thought...or give us stuff....another thought...) See how I'm tilting my head and sticking out my neck so I don't have an ugly neck...I'm not sure if that was a good idea. I look a little dorky....

5. I spent Sunday morning doing something that I never want to do again. I pulled out my hair, I cried, I was frustrated, but I made a cover for the cushion on my favorite chair. It was hard, and yes, I will probably attempt it again, but not for awhile. It didn't turn out too bad...until I tried to stuff the foam and the pillows inside and the underside ripped. Ugh. I was so mad at myself! But, it's the underside, who cares!  And from far away it looks pretty good!

6. See that cowhide rug? You think it's the same one that I just got a few weeks ago, but it's not!
Here's the other one:

7.  I found this real cowhide rug on Craigslist for an amazing price and just had to have it. So we now have two. This fake one is currently in our room and it looks awesome in there. And the real one with real branding who happens to be named Harry, given by the previous owners who found that name on the back of it, is sitting under my favorite chair. I love it. I love that it has scratches from barbed wire and it's branded...it's cool.

8. My Dad is here, so of course the spoiling has commenced...he took the boys to Target and bought them each toys, just because....that's what Grandpa's are for, right?! Oh, and I may have gotten a pair of shoes. I'll show you sometime....

9. If you've been reading for awhile, you'll know that I have a love/hate relationship with Dave Ramsey, the psycho money manager. Well, today I want to thank Dave Ramsey. That's all. Tomorrow I'll probaby hate him, but for today. I love him.

10. I think that's it for the day. I've got a few pieces of furniture to show off this week. So sit tight!

Happy Monday! Off to thrift and get a massage!

Mom Ramblings #27

1. I'm currently feeling slight pangs of jealousy and competition as I recently heard a boy younger than my oldest son is reading. From real books. I know it's insane, but seriously, my kids are brilliant, he should be reading too. But then reality hit and I realized, if he reads, then he grows up, then he's not my baby anymore, and I don't want him to grow up, because he's my baby.....

2. I don't really care for the current trend of tearing off the covers of books and using them all bundled up as decoration. These are books people! Precious, harmless books full of stories and words and people's hearts and souls. Plus they are selling them at Restoration Hardware for a ridiculous amount - like $30 for a small stack! Sick and wrong. You can go to Goodwill and get a stack for less than $3, if you really must get on that bandwagon.

3. Have I mentioned how fun it is to have readers that leave comments and connect? I'm sorry if I don't get back to you. No excuses...just busy, busy, busy. Just know that I read every single comment and I care deeply that you care enough to comment.

4. No one commented on my first set of questions. Huh. I guess I won't do a question and answer session again.

5. I'm constantly hungry. It happens every year about this time. Right before spring hits. I'm also constantly ready to pick a fight with anyone that comes within three feet of me. Ugh. Winter.

6. I'm torn right now. It's a serious issue too. I have to register the boys for summer school...it's one of those come and get a number then wait around until your number is called types of registration...so annoying, BUT, there is a sale in the next town over and they are selling an ornate 5 x 8 mirror - that's huge. I really want it! I know - what to do, what to do?! Hopefully I'll be done registering before the sale starts.

7. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a toddler bed?

8. I love my turquoise table.

9. All the doors are in. They look fabulous. I'll show you next week. Maybe I'll even start painting the trim again....and I painted my garage door. Again. Does anyone have a part of their home that they absolutely can't stand, no matter what is done to it?

10. I bought this bell. I asked for it for Christmas, but got other fabulous stuff instead, so I bought it for myself. It's on sale if anyone wants one! Click here to copy me.

11. I'm still having such trouble loading photos in this here blogger....anyone else having trouble?

12. Do you ever wonder if you are being a good mother (or father), if you could be doing more? Should I stop painting furniture so I can spend every second with my boys? Do they want me to be with them every second?

13. I live in Wisco. It's total chaos here right now. That is all I am going to say on that matter.

14. I haven't bought any clothes in ages. I think I need to do some shopping. Dad - maybe you could help a girl out?

15. I don't change my mantel every season....I know. I'm a horrible home owner.

16. This is getting to be more of a confession session.

17. I've been running on the treadmill. I hate it. Does anyone else hate running on the treadmill? I can't wait to run outside.

18. I want to paint the new doors a color other than white. Hubs thinks I'm a crazy fool....

19. Gus got out of his crib and crashed on the floor. Now we have a bed tent. But Jack keeps going in there to help him get out. What? Really? Reminds me of this photo:

That makes me laugh. I love looking at old photos. By the way, that yellow duck hasn't left Gus' side. He takes it everywhere. It looks like it's been run over by a garbage truck 77 times.

That is all. Happy Friday!

Mom Ramblings #26

I've got a bunch of things to discuss today. The most important of these is this:

1. Vodka in the eyes. Apparently all the kids in college are doing it. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE? Seriously. Absolutely ridiculous and if my kids ever do this, I swear I will rip their eyeballs right out of their sockets. Do you hear me kids?!

2. A more pleasant topic. Yesterday I was furniture shopping at Goodwill. I went by the discount clothing bin and these pants caught my eye:

Who doesn't love a pair of Gap blue capris in the summer?! So, I grabbed them, paid my $1.54 and left. When I got home I tried them on and found a twenty in the pocket! What amazing luck! Now, I'm sure you are thinking one of two things, 1) She should really donate that money or give it back to Goodwill or 2) What amazing luck! I wish that would happen to me. Well, it never happens to me, that was awesome! And, I will have you know that I turned around and spent it at another Goodwill, so I figure I practically donated it.

3. We got our cow rug today! I'm going to show you a series of pictures. Prepare yourself. I love this rug! I'm trying to decide where to put it. I am leaning towards the office/play area/sunroom/kitchen, for practical reasons, but it does look pretty cool in the family room!

Here's the current rug in the family room, with a stretchy dog on top:

Here's the fake cow rug in the family room:

Looks pretty cool in there! But, not very practical for our family, we like to lounge on the floor....

Here's the cow rug in the catch-all room:

Of course, Rue the chair won't be there and I'm searching for a computer armoire...

Here's the furry rug in there:

Too big, right? Overwhelmed by rugs? Totally. Plus, I'm looking for an inexpensive 8 x 10 Jute rug for the dining room....ugh. Rugs.

4. One of my best clients brought me this little commode to paint for her:

I just wanted a very old look to it, so I did a little dry brushing....added some different hardware and now she will have this:

I added this little drop pull that I had leftover from a buffet awhile ago. I love this pull! One of my favorites!

She also brought this for me!

It stands at 19 inches tall. It is awesome. I love it. I really love stripes right now, so I went to town with it.

It's not painted perfectly. I know. And that's the way I wanted it. I absolutely love it like this. I added some little anthro knobs too. LOVE. DOUBLE Puffy paint heart LOVE. The boys filled it up with their race cars. Seriously. Is nothing sacred in this house?

5. I spent my free 20 bucks on this:

It's almost done. I'll show you next week!

6. That's a lot of content for 6 points. Yikes. Tomorrow, a little something...

Mom Ramblings #25

1. I have baby fever. Bad.

2. We got a new mini-van. We were a mini-van family before and we are still. Except, there was a bunch of wheeling and dealing, and I hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. But then! Then, we drove it on Saturday (on date afternoon, mind you) and something with the breaks went wrong, so we ended up spending our date afternoon sitting in the car dealership. Boo. And we still don't have our van! I know, feel sorry for me.

3. I am not a design guru. I wish I were.

4. I hate IKAT. Not IKEA. Ikat. The fabric pattern. Hate it.

5. I got a new chair. I don't think I'm going to share it. However you never know....

6. It was 15 dollars. Awesome. I taught myself how to sew cording yesterday, just for this chair. I'm so excited! Of course I'll show you when I'm done.

7. I also ordered this rug for our office/play area/work area:

It's from Overstock.  Emily A. Clark, I blame her. We've been wanting one for a long time, but until I saw this one, I wasn't sold. Then I saw her post about it, and I was sold. So, it should be here in a few days.

8. Home Depot is having an absolutely amazing deal on special order doors right now. Buy the hollow door and get an automatic upgrade to solid core. Guess who is gettin' new doors! Hooray!

9. That's what I've got for today. Maybe some more on the chair tomorrow. I'm going to start ripping it up this afternoon!

10. Happy Monday!

Mom Ramblings #24

1. Wednesday we had a snow day. We had a ton of snow. That is all. It reminded me of the blizzards we had when we were growing up. The snow piles are amazing!

Tom, the saint that he is, along with many of the neighbors, helped each other get the snow out of driveways and sidewalks and in front of the hydrants and mail boxes.  It was really windy, so every once in awhile I got a nice shot of his tush in his carharts. That's okay.

2. We spent the day lining up cars.

And puzzle pieces...

I have no idea where they would pick that up....

3. The other day Gus wanted to go to school so he wore his backpack around for the day.

4. I got to spray paint a few things the other day when it was 33 whole degrees out. I ran quickly out to the garage, sprayed and came back in. Worked great! I found a new color that I just love. Rustoleum "lagoon". It is so great!

I painted this lamp....and added the red velvet trim to the shade. (You saw this one yesterday.)

I did this lamp too....

Then I did this little side table. It's got a chalkboard top. Love it!

(All of these items are available over at www.whitebutterflyfurniture.blogspot.com, just in case you are wondering!)

5. I woke up at 1:50 am on Thursday morning to get this:

I know. I KNOW. I know I'm a freak. I'm okay with it. I am. I almost didn't wake up. I set my alarm, but didn't turn it on. I woke up at exactly 1:50 am. Luck. Pure luck. So, my contract was up, I've been patiently waiting. I didn't want to miss out.  It seems there are plenty for us Verizon customers and I could have waited until today, but, I felt like I was young and carefree getting up in the middle of the night for a cool new gadget. Had I needed to sit outside and wait in line there is no way I would have gotten it. But, I didn't. I ordered it from my cozy bed. I'm good with that. Now, what apps do I need?

6. Tom took Porter (5) skiing for the first time and it was so fun to watch the video. Porter is just like his father. He picks up sports quickly and is good immediately. Love that about them.

7. Monday I will show you the new "Beulah".

Mom Ramblings #23

1. My mom was a Vikings Fan. We live in Wisco. Hubs is from Wisco. If I see another commercial or crazy story about the Packers going to the Superbowl or the Packer fans so excited and all the crazy things they do for the Packers I may just vomit. Packers, Packers, Packers. Ugh.

2. I've opened the wrong pantry door 1,576,345 times since I switched everything around. So annoying.

3. I took the hall closet door off in our upstairs. I'll have to show you what it looks like. Lots of baskets hiding things. Don't let me forget to show you.

4. I still have the winter blahs. Yuck.

5. I'm wondering why no one wants this gorgeous table....

6. Blissdom, Blissdom, Blissdom....it's all I hear about and I still have no idea what it is (I mean, I do, but do I want to go? Do I need to go? Should I be going?)

7. I've read two really good books on my Kindle (that I treated myself to). The first was The Glass Castle. SO FANTASTIC. Then I just finished Half Broke Horses. JUST AS FANTASTIC! Both were written by Jeannette Walls.

8. Hubs and I had date night on Saturday and got to see True Grit and then went out for sushi. Yum. And the movie was sooo good. I loved it.

9. Porter talks like they did back then. "Mommy, I DID NOT do that." No contractions. EVER. Cracks me up.

10. I'm loving having the dining table in the ummm...dining room. Now, I feel like we are using every room in the house to it's potential. That makes me happy.

11. Oh, and we've been eating dinners in there! I've been making dinner. I know. Stop what you are doing and read that again. I've been making dinner.

12. Did I tell you that I took off the closet doors in the boys' rooms? I did. I guess I need to show you that too. I like it. It looks cool.

13. My Brother-in-law sat next to Ashton Kutcher on the airplane after the Bears/Packers game and they watched the Jets/Steelers game on his Iphone. How cool is that!? Hubs hates it when I name drop, but COME ON! That's fun.

14. I can't wait for garage sale season. Is it spring yet?

15. I'm thinking about renting a big tent and having a sale...would you come?

Mom Ramblings #22

1. Twenty-two happens to be my favorite number. No idea why.

2. Jack taught Gus how to go down the stairs backwards by placing marshmallows on each step. He would crawl down, eat a marshmallow and go down the next step to the next marshmallow. It was priceless!

3. I'm tired. Just plain heavy heart tired.

4. It's winter. I've got the winter blahs. But, who doesn't?!

5. We went to the work party. They had dueling pianos. Which was pretty cool. I got to wear my new dress (from Target, mind you) and that was fantastic. But I wore my patent leather red 3 inch heels. That was not fantastic. I never learn. Because, well, they are cute.

6. And now. We're getting ready to start another week. Another winter blah week.

7. Going to try and tackle the trim again this week. Sure wish I was like Samantha from Bewitched. Wrinkle up my little nose and there you go. Trim done. I wouldn't magically produce anything else. I swear.

8. I got up early and ran. It was hard.

9. I got to do this great little bookshelf for a fantastic little girl this week. I love it! Tom wanted to keep it. But, Kate needs a bookshelf so that all her books are up and put away when her new baby brother comes.

10. I'm heading to an estate sale this morning. Hopefully I can score some furniture. Furniture finds have been lacking lately.

11. Thank you for the well wishes! I'm feeling much better and fortunately no one else got the stomach bug.

Happy Monday!
